Oh, did I say that out loud? So sorry.
What a lovely day. If there’s anyone who deserves some serious jailtime sharing a bunk-bed with Bubba Hump, it’s ol’ Tom. Even if nothing comes of this and he walks free, which he surely will, it’s fun to see him having to endure going through such an embarrassing process.
U.S. Rep. Tom DeLay of Texas, forced to step down as House Republican leader last week after he was indicted on a conspiracy charge, was indicted again Monday. The new charges, brought by a different grand jury than the one that indicted him last week, is based on the same set of campaign-finance transactions, and directed by the same prosecutor, Travis County (Texas) District Attorney Ronnie Earle, a Democrat. It uses a different legal argument to accuse DeLay of money laundering and conspiracy.
