When transferring my blog from TypePad over to WordPress last year, somehow I managed to delete a folder which removed the photos from dozens of my blog posts. I was able to recover most of them elsewhere, but not all of them. Sometimes it didn’t really matter, but in some cases it made the entire post less interesting. One such case is when I posted about a pamphlet I got in the mail which advertised a seminar on The Appearing, i.e. Christian end-of-the-world hysteria. The pamphlet was a masterpiece of shlocky End Times hucksterism, and I had photographed each page to show you, dear reader, just what craptastic fun it was. And suddenly the photos were gone! Bloody hell.
Fast-forward to today. I was going through old photos from 2005 labeled “odds and ends”, and I came across…the pamphlet photos! I’m thrilled to have found them, and they’ve been returned to their proper place here.
